On November 30th residents were invited to gather in downtown Bolivar near the Christmas House at the Canal Street parking lot behind the Shop on Canal Street. Inside the Elf Tent was found find hot chocolate and cookies. Messages were put on ornaments and hung on the Community Christmas Tree! The popular pin-on buttons that kids could decorate and take home, courtesy of the Bolivar Library were available too.

At 5:00 pm the Bolivar Fire Department arrived with the precious cargo of Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with a few of their elves!

Children stopped in the Christmas House to visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves. Parents had the opportunity to take pictures of their child with Santa.

Fire pits helped to keep everyone warm while music and carolling kept spirits bright!

Our sincere thanks to the many local businesses and organizations who have dedicated their time, talents and donations to this kickoff of Bolivar’s holiday season!
